Title: 17" Game King Ceronix LCD Monitor now has inverted touch screen response
Post by: rslots on February 18, 2022, 08:54:11 PM
Touch screen was a little off so went into calibration mode but touch screen would not accept my touch on the calibration dot.  Now the touch screen response is inverted (left to right and up and down). repeated calibration attempts all end in no response to my inputs (locks up on the first calibration dot.  Any ideas on how to resolve?

Sounds like the touchscreen ribbon cable to the controller circuit board is loose or not on the correct pins?
Did you happen to pull it off the pins and put back on?
It is a little difficult to see under the connector as you try to line up the pins to the holes.

If you didn't take the connector off, then I'm not really sure what's wrong with the touchscreen other than swapping out the controller board with a known good one.

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping there might be a simple setting that had somehow lost it way. I have not moved or touched wiring and the wiring is inside the metal casing on the back of the LCD panel so as you suggested may be an issue with the controller. Will have to give that a try. I have extra controllers for the CRT touch screens but not sure if they work with the LCD touch screens. The interfaces (connectors) are compatible.

Yes, you can use a touch screen controller from a CRT monitor if the connectors are the same.
