Title: Game King 3902
Post by: Uni777 on February 18, 2023, 11:49:56 AM
I have a game king 3902 platform with 19-pin connector, purchased a lcd 19-pin lcd monitor the two pins in cabinet harness are blank on the 19-pin lcd they have two wires with pins blue and brown wire? I have no picture on lcd is there a different harness that I would need for my cabinet? Will post pics. Just found out from original owner this lcd came out of a game king 044 platform, I guess the P-5 cable is wired different for the 044, what do I need to do to get this monitor to work for 3902 platform? Any info. Greatly appreciated!

Problem solved, it was not making a good connection in the back of machine, made some adjustments and finally got it up and running. I was getting a hazy screen white out before I figured it out.

There aren't any monitor wiring differences based on 3902 or 044 MPUs.  There are differences between 19 and 25 pin connectors, but it's not based on the MPU type.

You may need to move a jumper or change a menu setting to differentiate between a 3902 or 044 monitor.  See this post:

The black monitor plug in the machine was the problem. It wasn’t making a good connection. I unscrewed the two Phillip head screws and gently pulled some slack then I put the monitor and let it rest on the tray and pushed the two connectors together tight fit. Turned on machine and it started to boot up the color was back and the game came up! Made some adjustments on the tray and 19-pin connectors and put it back in machine works perfect!
My best guess would be it wasn’t plugged in all the way. Thanks again for all your help!

Oh ok, good find.  Every once in awhile I've had problems where it will lose a color intermittently and a little Deox-it on those plug pins clears it up.  Glad you got it working  :applause:
