Games of Nevada draw poker machine
« on: February 21, 2023, 12:53:02 PM »
I have a Games Of Nevada Draw Poker machine, model MVP-14-0024, with a horizontal line running through the screen.  It is a CRT made by Mitsubishi.  I'm looking for a schematic for this device and, hopefully, a place to buy parts specific to this model number. Questions or comments are welcome.  Thank you.

Might be a silly question, but did you check the switch immediately above the monitor right in the middle (where you adjust the V Stretch and H Stretch)?

When I purchased mine, the previous owner had flipped that switch, which lets you adjust the RBG color dials.

I too am looking for any documentation on the MVP 14...have been searching for months

Yeah, that's the setup switch. It didn't help. Appreciate the response.

Sorry about that. Out of curiosity, would you be willing to share a pic of the PCB board. I have been tinkering with mine so much, it might help me with the problem I am having with my MVP14

I had to reduce the image size in order to fit it on this post.  Hopefully the reduced quality doesn't impact your ability to see it.

That picture is of a RGB monitor, they are notoriously challenging. Definitely look closely at the caps, test and/or replace. Be thankful you have an image to start with when the RGBs go into shutdown they can be tough.

Here is a partial collection of RGB schematic sections.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Here are two more pages from the manual.  I have the whole doc but cannot upload it all.  I can send to you if you would like.  Also, I am interested in a pic of the game board itself for comparisons with my machine.

Is this the game board you are looking for? This one is not labeled 1401 though, might be an earlier model.
Also, you can upload the entire manual in the File System.

There is a pretty good manual (22 pages of all the info you need to troubleshoot) for the RGB1401B, with coverage for the 1401A, from www.coinslots..com/manuals/monitors.

Search for RGB 1401 on this site for repair tips.

First, it looks like something was spilled on the board. That needs to be cleaned up.
Check the vertical output transistors (Q134 and Q138). If you have an oscilloscope, track the vertical signal through the circuit.

Best of luck.
These RGB 1401 monitors are really not that difficult to troubleshoot and repair ( compared to some other arcade monitors out there).

Would you know if the MVP-17 is the same chassis as the MVP-14? Would the manual for the 17 apply to the 14?

I am, by no means, a professional when it comes to the is stuff.  My experience is limited to the 2 months I have spun my wheels on my own MVP 14. The MVP 17 manual appears to only be similar at best.  I base this on the fact that the DIP switch settings in the manual are not the same as the machine.  Also, the schematics in the manual do not appear to reference the correct number of connections on the J3 harness (for example).  I have a J3 harness with pins 1-65.  I have attached photo of my MVP 14 MERIT CRT 200 Rev. F board.
