Title: Triple Diamond S-AVP randomly loses memory
Post by: Ash100 on December 08, 2020, 02:05:16 PM
I've got a 3 Reel S-AVP 3.0 Triple Diamond machine that will just randomly lose it's data.

It's done this 3 times now that I know of.

If you leave it on 24/7 and play it, it's a great game. But if you power it down for a week or so, it will not reboot.

Errors include Configuration Verification Required, No Games Enabled and 3.3v Out of Range with a Board Monitor Tilt.

Batteries are all good. Not sure what's going on with this machine.

Every time I reconfigure it with the eKey it works great again.

But why is it losing it's config data?

Thanks, Curtis ash100

Anyone ever seen this?

Has now happened on 3 machines.

Just looking for a clue as to what it could be.

Thanks,

PCI batteries?

All have fresh batteries with no errors indicating battery low.

Maybe a bad PCI Card could cause this?

I'm going to guess the configuration settings get programmed into an onboard memory ram chip?
Somehow that memory is getting corrupted usually by loss of power to sustain the configurations programmed into it.
It HAS to be a battery connection problem or a cold-solder joint along those lines.
