my number one reel is faulted. its acting like there is a bad connection where the plugs went together. I took another reel and put it in the 1 spot and its fine so the female end should be fine. I used a dmm to check all the pins on the male side and they had no breaks and checked continuity with the other end of the wire. when i hook it up its very intermittent. anything else to check

Try temporarily switching the reels and see if the problem moves with the reel

It is following that reel

It is following that reel
Now you know what to go shopping for. :money: :money:
Are you sure all the pins inside the reel connector housing are equal?
Not pushd in and shorter than others or bent?
-
All pins are flush. The slot side is not the problem. I got glued the back of the reel side so they couldn’t move. Does anyone know of a parts guy out there. If I can just find the cable that would eliminate that. Also found a s9000 reel from a 5 reel where mine is 3. Other than swapping the cage would that one work. Dated about 4 years older

If the reel and Molex connections look the same, it should be fine.
What are you calling the "cage"...the reel baskets that hold the strips?
-
Yea. The 3 reels are wider than 5 but I am assuming motors and metal frame are the same

I once had a similar problem with my S9000. One reel acted like it wasn't getting power, however I was getting errors. "Mechanical reel #1 Device Error", "Mechanical Reels Device Error" & "Mechanical Reels not Configured". I solved the problem by replacing the circuit board which is mounted on the reel assembly, the Reel Driver Optic Board P/N: AS-03356-0527.

Yeah I am working on getting a reel. I know where to find IGT parts but who has all the Bally parts
