Just slide the old button panel out, put the oled panel in.  Run 24v to it and a USB cable.  There are VERY FEW games that work with an oled panel on the bb1 mpu.  If you are using a cpunxt2 mpu, then no issues.

The cabinet has nothing to do with the firmware mismatch.  That is just an OS/Oled deck issue.  There are numerous threads on which OS to use in order to properly update the firmware to work with whatever game you are using.  If you are using a BB1 MPU, it is not even worth to use the OLED deck.

You can put in an OLED deck but above in Reply #1, you were reminded...>>> "There are VERY FEW games that work with an oled panel on the bb1 mpu."

If you already have one working now, why are you asking how to install it?  Just copy the one you have already working.

I think he is referring the the games that play on both bb1 and bb2 using H9 series OS.  So if the deck is reporting a mismatch then use SSSG 1496 and it will update the deck to correct the mismatch.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....
