Title: Converting dollar machine to quarters
Post by: Dreese on November 02, 2020, 08:59:25 PM
I just got an old a United Gaming Poker machine running.  It currently takes Ike silver dollars.  I’m pretty sure I need a new comparator and hopper to convert this to quarters.  Is this true? Alternatively does anyone have a lead on where I can buy a bunch of Ike silver dollars that aren’t ridiculously priced? Thanks

Talk to you local bank, they can order them but there may be a min amount.

Just some info:
Regular circulation Eisenhower dollars were never silver (only the proof versions for collectors). They're 92% copper and the rest is nickel. If they were silver, you'd be paying about $20 each for them.  :propeller:
As Paul said, talk to your bank. Better yet, just get a list of banks and credit unions, and call them weekly. I accrued about 150 of them from my credit union.
