Title: Call Attendant JP400
Post by: rjpohl on March 19, 2014, 01:32:08 PM
I've got a JP400 that had a dead battery, I replaced the battery and now I can't get past the "call attendant".

Power on it display will read 0 0 0, every time I turn power on/off the meter goes up 1.  ( 001, 002, 003, etc).  I've tried cleaning all the connectors on boards, I've tried pressing reset button on board, doesn't clear the call attendant.

Amy help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Bob

The acid leaching into the circuitry is a very common problem with the Jennings machines. It'd be best, if you're replacing the battery, to mount it remotely. Actually the game will run without the battery just fine. And, there is a battery elimination fix for the logic board, which involves a single electrolytic capacitor.

This illustration might be helpful for your machine:

there is also an "Attendant" reset
it is a key switch , located on the handle side of the cabinet
if you do not have the key you can still actuate the switch from inside the cabinet by pressing it by hand
