Mercury Slot Machine (Small One) How to Remove Slot Mechanism from Case?

I just got these fo $150 each on Craigslist. Cool antique machines but they are just about 1 foot tall.

They both don't work, The grteen one, the lever seems to be jammed down, like it just needs to be freed 

The other one has a free handle but it's not attatched or catching inside.

Step one: How do I get it out of the case?

You just pull the mechanism straight out and it comes out. I got the green one working. These just need a good lube I think to be running perfect, The Tan one just need one small spring. (and a back cover). The green one works but takes forever to click the 3 reels into place. The first reel stops spining before it does. So that seems like it just need to be cleaned up. I'm happy!

 Those are actually "Trade Stimulators".  They are fun little games.  I have repaired two of them for a friend.  Did they come with any tokens to payout?  If you are missing the back door.  That will be tough to find.

I did doscover it pays out tokens, but I didn't get any. Do you think Quarters or regular tokens work?
It is going to be tough to find a cover....

I wonder if I drip some oil in a few spots, if it will work a bit better. It catches all 3 but slowly. Here is a video.

Should I oil a few points without taking anything apart? What kind of oil would I use?

 Your green one.  The reels spin nicely but I think you will need to adjust the pump that controls the duration of the reel spin.

 The tan one.  Those reels will need the three springs replaced that are missing for them to work properly

 Quarters are too big.  Tokens come in various sizes so you might be able to find some of those.  The proper tokens do come up on eBay.  Below is the size of an actual token that you can use for reference.
