Title: payout question
Post by: puckhead on June 04, 2016, 12:22:21 PM
put in 1 coin, pulled the lever. bell rang but no payout. also nothing displayed except coins played, 1.  would the combo in the pics be a payoff combo? looks like it. if so, what could cause this?

thanks

That looks like a hand pay amount
If you turn the reset key that should clear it

looks like a 4500 win, so yes more than likely in a hand pay condition. yes jackpot reset should clear it

1500 win is awful low hand pay, may want to adjust the settings.

It won't say 1500 on glass.  Almost impossible to list all the combinations on a multi multiplier.  You have to do the math.  5x5=25x60=1500.   Previous post sounds correct.  Sounds like when the machine was keyed it had a hand pay set too low.   Turning the jackpot key will reset it.  Probably would have been nice to have it ring for awhile as you don't see those level jackpots often.  It can be fixed just in case you happen to hit one again.  Lol.

I don't own an S+ but I assume the key process is very similar.  You should obtain a clear and key chip set from someone on the site here and then go through the process of changing the settings to your preference.

Example...I have my machine setup to pay out $25.00 to coin and the remainder to printer.

S+ doesn't need a key chip.  You can change limits as long as there are no credits on the machine.  Post your SP chip number or you can search for the S+ setup guide on this site.  It has the "language for the rest of us" translation from the PSR sheet which can be confusing if you have never seen one.

To find out what chips you have (Game and Reel chips). Open door press the white self test button (next to the power switch) until you get 4 in the coins played window. Note the numbers in the credits window, and post them here. That should be able to determine the settings for the machine you need or want.

What you had for a win was the equivalent of a 60 coin win with two 5x multipliers. 5 x 5 x 60 = 1500

The "stock" defaults for an S+ is 400 coins for a hand pay.
You can change that value to whatever you want but if you run out of coins in the hopper it will come up with a 3300 error.

A very full hopper might hold 1200 - 1400 coins. Which does not leave room for additional coin in.
