Title: Hurricane...Does it or not have a "Haywire" type feature?

Hello all,

I am looking to add to my collection a "Hurricane" themed Splus. I am hearing and reading different opinions and experiences with this them as having and not having a "Re-spin" feature.

I heard elsewhere that it does, but read here that it doesn't.

Going to see it this weekend, but would like to understand this interesting dilemma.

As I have replied on your Facebook post about it, the game does not have any special features. It is a Type 0 game. The glass does not say anything about respins or haywire-type features, and the chip lists for the game list it as a Type 0 game.

I have painstakingly manually added it to the NLG S+ bible, both 2-coin and 3-coin versions, here: http://www.newlifegames.net/igtbible/ (http://www.newlifegames.net/igtbible/)

As to why there's confusion? IGT had similarly named and themed games (like Money Storm, for example, which IS a Haywire clone), and people likely confused the games in their mind.

I tried this years ago when the guys were making the Double Diamond games with Haywire SP chips.
The Hurricane kit with chips starting appearing on ebay and I bought one.
If you install a Haywire-capable SP1274 chip to any Hurricane SSxxxx chip, the strips will NOT match up with the payouts.
I hadn't noticed at first but the award tables are different...even with trying to offset the strips.
It was kind of disappointing that this game was just a plain Jane game and nothing special about it at all except for a lot of pink colors.  :Tongue_Out:

haha...That wasn't the best photo I took...I see my fluorescent lights from the ceiling in my workroom on it!  :rotfl:

FYI The Hurricane i just picked up is a 3 coin.
