Title: IGT Quick Draw 2001 - 1982 / 7570200
Post by: ivanx on June 12, 2020, 05:11:17 PM

I've got what appears to be a IGT Quick Draw 2001 from 1982. I got the poker pcb working after shotgunning the caps but I'm having issues with the video going to the screen. I cleaned all of the contacts and I replaced the 3 trimmer pots on the front as they seemed questionable (registered as 2K ohms).

The double image is the screenburn of the crt. I did verify the Ceronix 1492 monitor as working properly on another game.

Would anyone have a manual, schematics or suggestions on where I should test? Many thanks.

It could be the solder jumpers on the back of the Ceronix monitor are not set correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I eliminated the monitor as the problem. I made an adapter cable and hooked up a Electrohome G07-CBO and I got the same result. Must be something off in the video circuit of the MPU, the game plays fine, the colors are just off.

Any ideas on what to check? I've read prior that color PROMs or memory ICs could cause issues like this on arcade games. Repairing MPUs is NOT a strong skill of mine.

There is a small IC right above the battery that looks like it has one pin out of the socket. On any unknown board the first thing I try is to remove any socketed chip and clean it's legs then plug back in.An ink eraser works well to clean the legs.
