help with touchscreen serial cable game maker HD

hi, i just got a game maker hd and the black serial cable from the main touchscreen has been rubbed through where it hits the frame upon opening the door, its causing intermittent touch response. does anyone know a part number for this cable? the file system seems to have nothing for this alpha version of game maker

You mean the cable from the main monitor to the mpu?  Should just be a standard db9 male to female rs-232 serial cable.

I’m new to these sorry.  It’s a black one looks like the white cable but has a slightly angled head.

the color of the cable is no an identifying characteristic in this case as bally uses many cable manufacturers.  Post a photo of the machine with the cable in question.

I found a few replacements but none have the ferrite filter on the cable.  Is that absolutely necessary?
