Title: Bally 5500 Stand alone progressive
Post by: fsawyer on May 20, 2021, 02:07:14 PM
Hi members,
I recently received a Blazing 7's Slot with a dead battery. I installed new battery and machine checks out fine except for the progressive. It display's "Winner" and $0.00. I have entered the function 11d. I have changed settings under option 2. I either get a code 91 or the winner and $0.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have uploaded a few images for reference.

If you set the settings in the 11d menu to detect the progressive , the progressive has to be working , otherwise it detects a problem and gives 91 error on machine and it will not play. You can turn off the progressive settings in the 11d menu and the machine will work with out the progressive if you would like.  Or you will have to be sure the rechargeable battery on the Mikohn board is good and if it is good leave it on for a day or two to charge the battery. Then you will need a custom cable , laptop with XP , install PSP program , laptop with a 9 pin port to connect the cable from the laptop to Mikohn board for programming the progressive.

I pulled the board. Battery is at 4.82 volts. When I was in 11d menu and under progressive type had "off" or 4 other choices. I went thru all 4 and a code 91 came up on a couple but not on the others. The previous owner had this machine for about 10 years and the progressive never worked for him. I have a laptop with XP and the rs232 connector. I just need to make the harness and download the psp program.
