Title: So I won 1200 on my Uni and she no longer plays?
Post by: RILaw on January 30, 2015, 10:30:16 AM
So I won 1200 on my Uni, she paid out fully, all looks normal, no trouble codes (Just normal 13 and 50 from power down and opening door), credit/coin button will not light when pushed and quarters fall through.  I pressed the service, reset buttons and toggled the key switches on side.  What am I missing?

Thanks

Not an Ultra Series, right?

My first guess is it does not see the door closed and locked. That was a major pain with the older Uni's. The 50 error keeps flashing until a game is played. But how do you know it sees the door locked and closed if the 50 just keeps flashing?? Answer; by seeing the INCERT COIN light flash.
The Ultra Series fixed this issue by changing the 50 to a 51 when door was detected closed and locked after being opened.

Check your door switches.
Oh, and make sure it hasn't already accepted coins by pressing the spin button. I did that once.  :duh:

Thanks for the reply!  Yup, not an ultra.   Just checked the door side key switch and machine side cherry switch, both seem to cycle correctly.  Machine will still not go into "insert coin"  Its showing the last coins played (shows zeros when door is open) but won't coin up.

Have you tried a RAM clear? If that doesn't work I would be back to the door.
Is the incert coin light flashing?
Make sure the incert coin lamp is good.

The incert coin lamp flashing tells you the mpu board is ready for game play and coins falling thru with incert coin light flashing is a comparitor problem.

If incert coin light is not flashing, the mpu board is not ready for play for some reason. Most often it is the door. Other possibilities might be the jackpot reset key switch stuck? Never seen it but seems possible.

 :duh:

Well, I'm an idiot...I actually won 1600, jackpot key had to used while door was shut, I did while open.  It just counted the additional 400 coins into the jackpot counter and works fine now...

Sry for my stupidity. ..  Thanks again Uniman!   :arrowthruhead:
