Title: Repair of UV1700/SV1900 SIGMA slot machine
Post by: Jowi2000 on January 11, 2020, 01:45:32 AM
Hi,
I need a new uv1700 mainboard .
Anybody can offer me one ?

Also I am searching the power supply circuit diagram.

Unfortunately I killed my board and it looks like also some voltages are missing now 😩

Thanks

Hi@all,

Any idea ?
Mainboard is working with ATX connector.
It is not working on backplane.
Powersupply adapter created by me so I can use now a standard PC PS.
And yes , all connectors are correct.
I removed any connector on the backplane , only mainboard connector is connected.
PS do not start. Is there any active part on the backplane?

What is the difference between power coming over bus connector and power directly connected to ATX?
Anybody has a circuit diagram of the DPX-80 board ??

Fixed. No backplane or CPU Board issue.

Very stupid thing. Using power from service outlet in the moment.
Looks like there is something wrong with the power coming from harness.
In germany it makes no difference if you swap N and L.
I think this is different in us power. I need to check it and swap both.

In the moment I am fighting with the bill acceptor - I think I have the wrong head in it named WBA-21-ss / CAN-502 :-( The rest is WBA-12-ss / USA-501

Also I have to add an external audio amplifier to get sound again.

Swapped N and L, modified bracket for standard PC power supply.
Found audio line ouput on the same connector as for loudspeaker. Connected line  output to external amplifier.
System is up and running now :-)

Now I just have to solve two other things.
Head of bill reader is per setup info output a WBA-22SS RUS. Cannot find any bin file for EUR to test it with local currency.
Because I do not want to throw a lot of nickles inside to play I want to hook up a SAS connection.

If have the SIB2 board inside which is connected via a converter pcb to COM1 of cpu board.

So where do I have to connect the PC with SAStest util ? On COM1 of CPU board or on the output of the SIB 2 ? Very confusing.

I would be happy if I get some useful hints.

I got a US head and with a little help from a board member here I got the right firmware flashed via TTL connection.
It took me hrs to find out why TTL connection was not working until I saw that the main connection ( line to pin 19 ) was cut.
I reworked it and voila - firmware was flashed without any issues.

So the only open question is howto connect this nice slot machine to a homebrew ( or similar ;-) ) TITO  system to handle it.
It is just for fun to connect it.

Another BIG question is in my head . I know the games for the UV1700/SV1900 from SIGMA as far as I find it through a couple of web pages.
But I also know, that Mikohn took over SIGMA and released some nice slots based on the same hardware as far as I understood.

Anybody knows these machines and their names ?
Anybody own such a system ?

Thanks

Jowi
