Post by: Chuck spurlock on August 18, 2022, 12:16:29 PM
Ok so a friend brought over the machine and i'm getting the 88ff code waiting on clear chips and hope that cures it but the spin wheel up top continually spins and also I noticed the 2 fans where unplugged so i plugged them in and they also keep running even with the power switch off, anyone have any Ideas?

After you do a proper clear the bonus wheel will stop spinning. The fans are on all the time to keep the progressive unit cool because the progressive stays on to keep the battery charged. Keep the fans plugged in and use a power strip to turn off the power to the machine . That way the fans will keep the machine cool as there is a driver board for the bonus wheel by the fans.

50 is not an error. 50 is main door open. Normal. Will go away when door is closed and game is ready.  The bonus wheel, is the cable plugged into the front left side of the MPU?

When you did the clear, did you plug in the bonus wheel cable to the front of the MPU and let the bonus wheel calibrate after

yes I know it's a door error and the cable is plugged in, i just ordered new door optics hoping that will do the trick.

there is a cable/harness plugged in to the front tray of the mpu,is that what you're calling the bonus cable? there is a ribbon coming out of one of the top boxes that is going to nothing, not sure if it has to be landed somewhere

Your last picture has nothing to do with the bonus wheel. That is a Mikohn progressive board.   Yes the cable that plugs into to the front left of the MPU is the cable that is connected to the bonus wheel driver board. AGAIN Did you have the cable plugged in when you did the clear? and did you let it calibrate completely? Are you using factory mains and NOT using the leave in clear chips?
