Title: Looking For Info
Post by: Straycat on August 11, 2019, 03:52:06 PM
This is the coin rejector from my CEI draw poker machine, I think. Power to it, nothing coming out.  Anyone have any idea where I might find one of these?

No it hasn't. I did get the prints on this an some things are different in the print then what I have in front of me. The CC was hacked an there isn't a harness for it. It has a solid state relay of which Ive never heard of an a Solonoid or coil that seems to act as the coin rejector, again, nothing Ive seem before.. Research turned up nothing on this. WHoever butchered this had it running at one time with tokens using a quarter hopper, tokens are way smaller then the quarter but yet the elevator has them in it. So Im at a loss on this guys. It still plays but just a 2 hour timed game that uses no credits. Id love to get it back to coin play.

You might just have to look up a manufacture part number and see if there's anything compatible on eBay or Amazon. There's a number of people out there selling old parts, but finding them is the tricky part. Or just troll craigslist for a CEI parts machine.

The coin rejector operates to prevent someone losing a coin when inserted into a machine that's turned off. The solenoid must be energized by "power On" to move a metal gate into position to let the coin through into the trigger area.
If your problem is a dead solenoid, why not just mechanically lock the gate piece in position? Paper clip, little wooden wedge, duyct-tape, whatever. That should let you bypass this problem and play the machine; or encounter the next uh-oh.
If I'm reading your problem wrong, let me know.
