Title: Bally 1096 candle question
Post by: gameking6 on July 04, 2022, 01:57:12 PM
I have a Bally 1096 slot and I want to add the candle to it. The only connections I can find are these 3 sets. Does anyone know if any of them are for the candle? While we're at it does anyone know what the rest are for?

Blue and red operates the jackpot bell.
Also the jackpot light candle on the top of the machine.
If the machine has a service button.
I believe one wire black / yellow operates the service / change light in the candle.

Just going from memory, your machine may vary.

that's a pretty good memory :-)

the 1096-10 schem says the brown/orange and orange connector is for a chime.  You can grab the 1096-10 schem from https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/

the candle hookups where usually done on a terminal strip ... the black plastic kind with screws.  You have one of those in the game?

This is the only terminal strip I could find. It's located in the bottom right, behind the hopper.

that strip is typically for a hinge switch, electric door lock and the service button ... all optional stuff.

the strip for the candle would be in the top compartment.

is the disconnected plug with the single red and blue wires going to a bell?  If yes, follow the socket wiring with the double red and blue wires and see where they go.

it's possible the terminal strip was never installed or someone removed it.

Thank you wolftalk. I'm back home and the machine is at my sisters so I will have to put this on hold. I will check it and get back, next time I'm up at my sisters.
