Title: Bally S9000 Alpha - Black Gold - Invalid Progressive amount
Post by: BigChiefsTech on April 04, 2022, 04:04:01 AM
Hi,

I am currently working on my Bally S9000 Alpha Game Cabinet that came with the Black Gold from the Quick Hits Platinum game. After running the CLEAR and mounting the game, I begin the Setup Process to get the machine cleared. This is my first time working on the Bally unit and I am unable to get the game to start due to the error Invalid Progressive Amount. This games have five progressives and one master jackpot. Does anyone know what the default JP1-JP6 should look like to clear the Invalid Progressive amount error.

Try this table. It's an educated guess based on the info provided. The game card number would verify that.

JP0 = 5,000 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP1 = 2,000 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP2 = 650 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP3 = 100 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP4 = 50 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP5 = 10 x Max Bet x Denomination

Thank you so much. I am trying for a 0.01 demons per line giving the max bet at $1.50

I will try this formula and report back if theres still an issue. I didnt get much documentation for the game. Many thanks. I might have another game on another s9000 that I will need guidance with.

Sadly I am having the same problem. Im able to do the setup right up to Progressive setup and trying your suggestions I tried the following

Max Bet: $1.50
5 Button panel

JP1 - .1% - $75
JP2 - .2% - $30
JP3 - .3% - $9.75
JP4 - .4% - $1.50
JP5 - .5% - $0.75
JP6 - .6% - $0.15

Game version I believe is: AVGQPBG017GL-00

I used JP1-JP6 in the config as the setup didnt have a JP0 option.

The other Bally S9000 Alpha I have is having the same issue for Invalid Progressive Amount and the game Im using there is the Quick Hits Cash Spins. This games progressives only allow me to set JP1 and JP2 only. I get a paytable error with directories after I tried a formula I found.

ERROR - Fixedbet:clear nvram, invalid:menu.xml/paytables/devices

Again this error on Cash Spins is preventing the game to be ready to play after trying the Progressive setup.

Yes you may as well.  I think that is an Alpha 2 video game, not S9000?  Got any more info or pic of cf card?
