Title: Slot repair in So Cal
Post by: SilverFerret on June 14, 2021, 10:46:10 AM
I've got three Electro mechanical slots, one 809 and two 873 that are in need of repair. Nothing seriously major but a good tune up and some electrical work (Lights etc). Is there anyone in Southern California (Torrance area) that does this?
Thanks, Jim

Not sure if LA slots is still in business. I think they were located on your side of town.
$ $ $

There might be an independent EM enthusiast / mechanic in your are.
Social media is a option, but you never know will show up.

I did call LA Slots in Redondo Beach and they quoted $85/hour minimum 2 hours plus parts.
I have a couple questions...
Is this fair and how many hours does it take for a qualified tech to go through one of these?
I not looking to put a ton of money into these. I have manuals and some work space but figure a guy who knows what he's doing might be the better route.
Thanks, Jim

The reel light no longer work though the bulb is good, The coin switch doesn't work, and it need a good going through on the reels so that they spin freely and stop properly.
Thanks, Jim
