I have replaced batteries in both the WMS BBU Mfg. 4/05 and WMS 550 Mfg. 10/1999 Video Slots but cannot find Ram clear/reset cards for either model. Would a more current model WMS Ram Clear/Reset chip work in these earlier model machines?

The WMS 550's can have either an eeprom based system (CPU 1.5 mpu) or a cf card based system if it has bee upgraded to CPUNXT. If you have the eprom based one, you would need a clear chip based on the denomination of the machine, or get a Universal clear chip. If it has been upgraded to CPUNXT you can use bb1 clear CF card. You can use that same card on the WMS BBU as well. You should probably get an 1810 clear which is the latest for a bb1.
