Title: 777 Red Hot Problem
Post by: Stelthav8r on March 02, 2024, 09:45:58 AM
Hello!

I am completely new to these games and just purchased my first slot machine.  It’s an IGT Triple 777 Red Hot.  I’m pretty sure that makes it an S2000.  It has a bill accepter (no coins), and a printer.  I bought it from another private person so it was set up in their home bar (custom tickets, etc.). It initially seemed to function normally.  It has a red “change”button, not “service” which I think is set up to add a lot of credits (10,000ish).  When I hit cash out, it started making a sound as if it were cashing out, but nothing printed.  Now, it’s stuck in that mode and tone.  The only numbers displayed are credits (9860) and total bet (45).  How can I troubleshoot or clear this?

 :thank_you:
Brian

Does the printer have tickets in it?

Thanks for your response. It seems to.  Should I pull it out and reload it?  Is there any other way to test it?

You could try that....the black lines printed on the tickets should be on top and towards the front when inserting it into the printer slot.

Another thing is if you hold the Feed button down while turning on the machine's power switch, it will print out some important info you could post in your next Reply?

I found a ribbon cable unplugged so the one screen wasn’t displaying.  It says “HAND PAY Amount = $98.60” and “Please Call Attendant”

Is there any way to clear this without the key?

It is a momentary switch.  If you unscrew the jackpot reset key switch and just short the 2 contacts it will act the same as a key.  This must be done with the main door closed.  Keys are really cheap and easy to find, you should get one.  If you don't want to you can just change the switch with something like a pushbutton switch (any momentary contact switch will work).
