Title: Size matters
Post by: Dreese on October 07, 2020, 10:13:00 AM
I have a Sigma Double Double poker machine with a dead CRT. I plan on doing an LCD conversion.  The CRT measures 14" diagonally.   Should I replace it with a 14" LCD or a 12"?  I'm hearing mixed advice so far.  Thanks!!

You really need to consider the size ratio, I've noticed a lot of screens are 4:3

Measure the length and height, and find the ratio and find an LCD that's similar.

Another thing, if you're going to just get a generic LCD replacement (ie just a computer monitor and not an actual slot lcd), it's doable, but keep in mind the horizontal and vertical VIEW angle.  Check specs on CNET.  Anything under 50dega looks like crap, close to and over 75 is good
