I have an IGT PE+ upright machine that I have replaced the battery on and now get the cmos data error and open door error. All of my doors are operational and I can verify they work on another superboard that I can access the test screen on. Is there anything else on my machine that would throw a door open error? All I want to do is reset the cmos data error but cannot move forward due to the door open error.

Press and HOLD the white "Self Test" button for about five seconds. If the speaker is working you should hear a small "ding". Close the door (again, the "door open" message should and needs to go away), turn the jackpot reset key, and you will either be good to go or get another error (EEPROM something or other). If that happens, open the door again, press and release the self test button, and close the door -- you should be in business.

Hey offroad I cannot complete these steps as the door open message never goes away. My optics work and my cherry switches work. I have a belly door and a BV door. Besides the main door are there any other door locations I may be missing? Attached is the schematic on how my candles are blinking.

If another superboard in your PE+ is working then its not physical.
I would first check all of your chips on the suspect mother board.
It sounds very much like you have 'a' chip with one leg bent under or not seated right.
Probably more on the program and data chips than the graphics ones.
Failing that I would run a clear chip through your machine.

Well of the chips are installed correctl and no bent pins. Ran a clear chip and there door open error is still on the screen. Super frustrating!

You say your door optics are working. Are they lined up?
-
Hey Mark yes they are lined up. On my other board in the test screen it flashes from 0-1 rapidly. From what I've read on other post that means they are functioning properly. Correct?

Were you able to get the issue resolved? I had a similar problem last night. I found one of the pins on my Wingboard was the culprit.
