Title: Bally 5500 will not accept coins

I have a blazing 7s quarter slot machine that will not accept coins. The coin comparator works and the cod board has been tested and verified by Alan at k lar. I am out of ideas. Anyone else came across this problem.

IS your insert coin lite on ? I would start with that.Also check door optics .

No the insert coin light is not lit. Which door optics are you referring to? Thanks for responding to my post.

There is an electronic eye, so to speak on the door as well as a receiver on the cabinet. these must line up perfectly so they can see each other,  otherwise the machine will think that the door is still open. Also check for broken wires leading to and coming from each sensor,door and cabinet side as well.

5500 doesnt have door optos has cherry switch , is coin switch on front of board on ?

Yes the coin mech switch is in the up position.

Adjust the sensitivity on the comparitor fully CCW. Replace the coin.
