Title: Feeding coins into the hopper.
Post by: David Walz on July 15, 2023, 10:10:29 AM
As most of you know all of my Bally slot machine hoppers have the hoods on them, I have the slot machine OCD issue. Since I have three of them loading them up can be challenging. So I figured out how to load them up without pulling the hopper out.  :applause:

I purchased a super thick funnel: SP Bel-Art Polyethylene 510ml Large Powder Funnel (H14684-0000),White. Then I heated it up and gradually formed it into a shape that would slide into the hopper.

If I was fabricating it, I'd build me a mold to form it, however it is not going to be something that is seen by everyone, so be it.  :24:

Good idea.
Always a pain getting coins into those hoppers with the factory covers.
Most machines at this point in their existence have had the covers discarded.
A machine with the cover is a good indication that hasn’t had a lot of owners.

Or someone who is anal enough to restore it correctly, all three of my Bally slot machines have the hopper covers.  :rotfl: :rotfl:  :rotfl:

Nice that you take the time to restore them back to original factory condition.

I try to bring them back 100%. What's challenging is the schematics, some are not available so we have to restore the wiring harness as best as we can. I use the correct color replacement wiring for the machines.
