Working on an Alpha Party Spin, I have tried swapping out the usb cable & the wheel stepper motor. The motor locks up as soon as power is applied, & does not spin during boot up. The status & com lights are green on the control box for the top. Any ideas?

The comm relay board on the reel goes bad a lot on these alpha reel machines. That's the little PCB board that controls and communicates with the reel control board. Replace it with a known good one and try again.

will do, Thank you.

Is this Ultimate Party Spin? I must have a different model/version because I can disconnect the wheel and the game still plays but I can not get Reel Winners to recognize the wheel. Weird
A side note is that my software does NOT have the "Any bet of 90 credits or more spins the wheel". Maybe you need a different software version.

Here is the version that Slam is running.

Replaced the comm relay board. Still no luck, could it be the control box?

My copy of Ultimate Party Spin's part number is ASGUPSMW1001-00.... Your copy has "NV" in there. I am not sure if that means Nevada but I have a copy of Reel Winners Multispin with "NV' in the part number that can't find my wheel. This version also doesn't have the BET 90 TO ACTIVATE THE WHEEL...whatever that says.
When the game loads up can you Calibrate the wheel or test it? I know when loading a 3 reel game on a 5 reel, and then going back to a 5 reel game, you have to calibrate the reels to make all 5 work again. Just a thought.

I tried going into diagnostics, the wheel test is unresponsive. I am thinking it is a bad comm box, the one located in the top box just below the wheel. upon inspection I noticed an X mark in red ink on the inspection tag on the board.

Charles,
The "NV" version is for Instant Spin Now With Multi-Spin (win up to 3 spins) and the non NV version is just Instant Spin.
