Title: time that reels spin
Post by: athomegambler on February 26, 2015, 02:44:44 PM
Hi  been playing around with the keypad on the 5000plus today,, looks like most all the settings are on the defaut  so i been changing a few of them just to see what happens,,, no problems ,,, came across a setting on the length of time you can set the first reel to spin before it stops and then another one for setting the time on the rest(other two reels) on my three reel machine....   does this do anything to the payout or what the reels really stop on???? or is this just a time thing to slow down or speed up how much money can be played in a given amount of time....    also found that i can can the machine from a single payout to more lines and  chris/cross from corner to corner,,,  so if i were to find a different game chip for it i should be able to make all these changes to match the new game correct????    just asking to make sure before i would buy anything else...    any feedback on this would be helpfull   thanks

The reel spin setting is only for "player enjoyment" basically...no effect whatsoever on the payouts...that's all in the game chips.

On the Multi-line settings, it would only apply if you found reel strips and chips for a Multi-line game. MOST games had a different set of strips for a 1-line pay versus a 3-line pay. Even if the strips HAPPENED to be the same, the game chip wouldn't recognize a Multi-line pay if it was only a 1-line pay game chip.

Just remember, the "machine" knows NOTHING, it merely operates. The game chips tell the machine where to stop the reels, regardless of what "pictures"/or any "pictures"/symbols are showing on the reel strips. Symbols on the reel strips are merely artwork for the players amusement. The game would pay the same without any reel strips installed. The game chip controls where the reels stop and the pays, IF the stop is a winning stop, regardless of what the reel strips show. Many times, we have people that have reels strips not installed in the correct starting point, which gives the sense of a machine gone crazy! Once the reel strips are aligned and installed properly, everything makes sense!
