Title: 5 Reel with LED backlights

I have a 5 reel S2000 which has the regular "bulb" winning combination back lights

I have seen replacement reels with LED back lights for sale, are these a direct replacement ?

If not - does anyone know what other parts I would need to convert my machine to use the LED reels

You can use LED bulbs as long as the wires are only on one side. The wires are usually wrapped over both sides of the bulb, so the wire has to be cut for jut one side. There is a + side also and has to match to light. No big deal if your wrong, just turn it 180

You can use LED reels to replace yours if you have 2.25" strips. Your shelf is reusable. Reel harness has to be replaced & possibly your controller board depending on which one you have. If you have 2" strips it can be done but some customization is required. I think Jim is referring to placing LED bulbs in your existing reels.

Yes, I read it as he had backlit reels with bulbs, but wanted LED's.
