I have a new to me S+ that I bought with a dead battery.  10 MHz board.  Seller said it was working before battery shot craps.  I replaced the battery, got the error 61.  Went to 61-1 one time but didn’t get past that.  When I try to clear again I get the 61 but when I turn the reset key I now get an alternating 0 and 1 in the Coins Played window and can’t get past this.  Any suggestions? Thanks

Press the test button to get 61-1 then close the door and then turn the jackpot key one time and wait for the reels to spin.

When I hit the test button it stays on 61. I don’t get the 61-1.   When I close the door and  turn the reset switch I get the alternating 0 and 1.

Try removing the CMOS chip for 10 seconds and replace and repeat process
If that does not work you may need to clear it

Just "hitting" the test button momentarily won't get you to [61-1].
To clarify the exact procedure....Depress & Hold that little white button for like 3 seconds.
If the volume is turned on & your door speaker works, you WILL hear a "ding" sound.
Now close the door, and then momentarily turn the Jackpot reset key.

That was it. I did not hold the reset button down long enough. Thank you!
