Who fixes 044 boards? Check this weird bug out…

So I have a GK 6.4 on its own 044 MPU, a Super Star Poker on its own 044 MPU, and a 044 MPU for 3902 games with the GK DLX board.

My 6.4 has been stored for about 9 months since the battery died, and I’ve been using my SSP as my daily driver.  Everything’s been working fine.  Popped in the GK DLX board with Monster Mansion, and it works great too.  Today I got a nice shiny Panasonic battery to pop onto my 6.4 board.  Cleared it like I have for years, and set it up.  No errors at all, but for some reason it won’t take tickets.  The other two boards will.  I even swapped the GK 6.4 flash board with SSP and the issue follows the GK 6.4 flash board. 

Are there any CRC issues that could be going on?  TITO works with the other games.  I even calibrated my bill validator…no luck.  Takes coins fine and will split pay 5 bucks in coins and spit out a ticket, but it just won’t take them…with GK 6.4 anyway. 

Thoughts on troubleshooting?  Who could reflash it for me?

Are you using dev boots with the dsa sha checks disabled? If you are turn them back on and see if it fails them if they fail board has bitrot if it passes the programing should be intact.

I’m just using the regular 28 key/clear chip.

Maybe you loosened up the ribbon cable to the backpane a little???

I was thinking that as well, but my other two MPUs with other games didn’t have this issue.  So now it appears to be working fine.  I went into Diagnostics and ran a clear and CRC check against the printer and DBV…all good.  Went into Setup and also cleared CRC for the DBV.  After that I noticed that it wouldn’t even attempt to take a ticket…spit it out immediately.  Went back into Setup and somehow all of my settings for Limit setup was all reset back to defaults.  I maxed everything out again, saved the settings, and now it’s working like it should. 

I wonder if this game requires a certain order for setup?
