Title: 19” Ceronix LCD. How Does the plastic frame come off?
Post by: Amechanic on January 11, 2019, 07:41:17 PM
I just recieved my replacement 19” Ceronix LCD Monitor. I want to clean the smoke from between the monitor and touch screen. This model LCD Minitor has a plastic frame around the monitor face. I see two Phillips screws on the side of the frame. Are those all that hold the plastic frame in place? I didn’t want to just start ripping things apart. Better to ask a stupid question, then to make a dumb mistake.

I had to replace the touchscreen on my Ceronix 15" LCD and removing 2 screws from each side allowed the black frame and touchscreen to be removed.

Thanks Tilt. Is the touch screen held in place with 2 sided foam tape?

No, the plastic frame is what holds it in place.  At least on the 15" model.

Sweet.. I hope it’s the same on the 19”. It will make cleaning so easy. 👍👍
