Title: Unknown progressive display and controller
Post by: pftpftpftpft on September 08, 2016, 10:52:51 AM
Hello everyone,

I bought this display used some time ago but we don't really have any information on the attached controller board. So we thought to ask here.

The only markings we found are Grips electronic GmbH and DPC2-98 or DPC2--AL and it has at least two serial ports. We could get a boot log from one of these ports and there are references to "mikohn" in this log.

Because of the Mikohn reference we tried PSP 2.0 but no matter which option we try (CON1 CON2 or OLD) the display does not do anything and psp shows an error. We could not find a download for PSP 3.0.

Is there anything we could do to try to identify this controller? Two images and the boot log are attached if you need more detailed pictures just ask and we will post new ones.

Thanks for your help ;)

It looks like you've got a meter and it's comm box.  You'd have to connect a progressive controller to it in order to get any numbers.  That was probably part of a larger sign for a linked progressive setup.  Beyond that I don't have any specifics for ya.
