Title: Alpha s9000 fatal fault
Post by: tomfohr on January 06, 2024, 04:35:24 PM
I am getting the below error message and cannot seem to get past it even after doing a Ram Clear.

Background:
Machine was working fine, lost power and when power came back on, the machine would power on fine but the Touch Screen would say no singal input.

I thought my MPU was fried (I had replaced the MPU in the past) so I ordered a new MPU and replaced it and the same thing happened.

Then I thought possibly the screen was not working so I connected an external VGA monitor and that is where I am seeing I am getting this fatal fault message. I cannot see this on the TouchScreen as it only says no signal input.

I did that, and yes it did come up on the external monitor. I have already ran the clear doing this. The Fatal Fault message I am getting is after running the Clear.

Yes same clear card and OS from the previous MPU. I also swapped over the Bios Chip and Jurisdiction chip from the previous MPU

Check the video cable at the monitor?  Got a different 5/12v psu?

I don’t have an extra power supply at all.

I’ve tried a different vga cable and nothing. Also even with the external monitor I cannot get past the fatal fault message

The error says it cannot find the required manifest from the game card.  Either you need a different OS for that game, or the game card is bad. What are you trying to load and what OS version are you using?
