Who has experience using GKB39 boot chip? I've heard them called fast boot chips. Referred to as GKB00039, but it reads GKBDEV39 in a hex editor. That leads me to believe it's a developers tool & not intended for normal use. Is it suitable for any 044 flash game or only specific ones? A PSR would certainly help but any input would be appreciated.

I believe you're correct, it's designed for developers and not for use in the field.  As far as I know it will work with any 044 flash board.  It has built in keychip functions and has options to bypass SHA security checksum checks which results in the game booting in seconds rather than minutes.
