Just to put the information out here and maybe it has been already, I have a Bally 5500 which had a $1.00 Coin shelf and I was going to try to find one to change to 25 cents. I remembered I have coin shelves for my 1960-1970s Electromechanical Slot machines and found that they are the same and was able to use it in the 5500. After putting in in the slot I found that the existing knife was hitting against the coin dividers on the wheel and instead of grinding it down, I put in a 25 cent knife from a Bally E which fit and worked perfectly.
I just thought I would share this information as even though the machines have changed over the years some things are the same..
