This is my first issue with a video slot. It was fine the other day but today it’s displaying a “Call Attendant” when turned on. I’m not even sure where to start on this thing. Any help is appreciated!

Open the main door and it should display an error message.

I’ve turned the key and it said non recoverable error, turn key to clear data. I did, it reset and says the main battery is low. Where is the main battery located?

The main battery is on the MPU board. It's a coin cell battery that may be soldered on the board. If it is you're better off installing a removable holder and the next time the battery dies you won't have to do any soldering to replace it. If you have a 044 MPU it has a removable holder from the factory.
Make sure you turn off the machine before removing or replacing any components!

I did see one on the board that was attached to the removable tray. What a terrible idea to soldier a batter onto the board.

That's the one. Soldered batteries were pretty common on the older games.

Hey yall!
I replaced the battery and now all is good again. I did get this message (see pic), and after having to reset the data on the tickets was lost. Is there a way to get it back? Or program it to say something else?

Go to: setup / machine options / peripheral devices setup Under thermal printer press site ID setup.

Batteries were soldered to the boards originally so no hankering with the boards at the casino.
Also if a customer still had credits on the machine the low battery would still allow the cash out to work. If the battery was a removable type the tech at the casino could easily remove it and poof "what credits "
By the time these batteries went bad the machine was usually already off the casino floor for a newer model.
For home use a removable battery is much better
