Title: Bally S6000 Question on Ram clear chips
Post by: FoRrHouse on January 06, 2023, 03:33:38 AM
I have a couple of question about some of the Bally S6000 Clear chips that I have.
Can anybody tell me which SafeRam Clear U28 & U43 chips go with these?

bally 6000 mains u28 checksum (F089)
bally 6000 mains u43 checksum (7700)

What Clears go with these?

I also have a weird set maybe someone can shed some light on?

What are these clear chips?

It says they are clear chips but I have some questions about them?

1) Why do they use 512k eproms in stead of the standard 2meg?
2) Why are they labeled as U12 & U15 rather than U28 & U43.
3) Could someone have mislabeled them and they are really U28 & U43?
4) Are these the SafeRam clear chips and if so, where do I find  the Main chips that go with them?
5) Are these really for a Bally S6000?

It says they are from kit # Me9x00001-9 and are used to clear bally reel game with
main Me96xxxx-x-x

U12 Me9x0001-9-1 CLR
U15 Me9x0001-9-1 CLR

Any help would be much appreciated.

U12 and U15 are for Bally 5500.   U28 and U43 are for Bally 6000. The standard removeable clear chips can be used for those mains.

2 More questions:

So these mains,
bally 6000 mains u28 (F089),
bally 6000 mains u43 (7700),
will work with the clear chips below?

S6S1000CLR07-01 U28 (9D77)
S6S4000CLR07-01 U43 (8901)

Will 150 Nanosecond 2M Eproms work?

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it!

Your  clear chips are the removable type and should work with those mains.

Not sure which chips to use.  Check with RB.
