Anyone know if you can fix or buy a bill validator. I think mine is either bad or not communicating with the mpu. Maybe it could be the mpu. Is there chips for the bv or something else? Thanks

NLG member Jim has WBA validators to replace that.

That is an early version MEI, ZT series , to replace that, you would have to research and pick from several options , WBA, UBA, or a MEI 6602.  the prices would range from 165/WBA, MEI6602/225,  plus shipping. I don't have any UBA. you will have to remove the shelf assembly , cash can and transport from the current machine and install basically the same of the replacements . complete parts for a wba would be : head and transport /software, shelf assembly, harness, bezel.  MEI, head assembly, I/O card, frame/harness, bezel.
