Title: IGT Game King Keychip and battery questions.
Post by: pstvservice on May 08, 2023, 12:12:26 PM
I need help identifying this video poker machine. Also, the battery on the MPU died and I think I need a new keychip to get the system up and working, but I don't know which keychip or where to buy one.  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

A keychip probably wont be needed for basic restart but I would recommend a battery holder be installed.
Those are sold on www.slotmachinerepair.com (http://www.slotmachinerepair.com) under "electronic components".

It takes a CR2032 battery. When that one dies simply pull it out and insert a fresh one.
Holding a wire onto the battery, a seen in your photo, is pretty jankey.

Would you happen to know how to go about fixing this issue?  It came up after I changed the battery, that's why I assumed a keychip would be required.

Start by turning the reset switch on the side. Use the flat brass key. Turn clockwise to 3 o'clock position.
