I cannot guarantee it will work.
This is why I didn't recommend it.

What you want to make is a harness from the ribbon cable end to the touchscreen and swap the 2 diagonal pins from the drawing in Reply #17.

Looking at the configuration, I believe pin#1 swapped with Pin#5....if it doesn't work, put the wires back immediately and swap the other pairs.

Every time you swap a pair of touchscreen pins, the screen will respond differently to your touches.
Keeping swapping pairs and testing systematically (make notes of each swap) until you get it to work the way you want and report back whether or not if it worked or blows up the controller board...lol
