I have searched the FAQ and cannot find any info on the SS 4247-8 Plus reel chip in my Double Diamond Deluxe machine.  It has a SP-1309 Game chip and I would like to set it to take bills with a current validator.  Any help is appreciated. I have a DV chip but it doesn't like it when installed.

The reel chip has nothing to do with BV functionality.  Do you know for a fact your validator is functional?  If so, you just need a SET15 chip to enable the validator if that is the case.  Also SP1309 belongs to the 16Mhz boards (no volume control knob on mpu), you need to make sure your set chip is on a 120ns or faster chip, otherwise it will have issues reading it.
