WMS Splash Button replacement Question

I came across a WMS splash panel button deck for free. All the screens work perfectly, the only problem is that white tab that holds the LCD screen ribbon cable down is broken on most of the buttons. Has someone encountered this problem? Is there a fix if the white tab is broken? The video on GETTs YouTube video doesnt show them putting the buttons with that damn splash guard on it.

Previous job just bought replacement connectors and I soldered them in. I guess if you were desperate you can steal the clips off the new connectors and fit them into the old ones but they'll probably be a fight to keep from falling out.
