Turn the power off, remove the MPU and show us some close up pictures of the circuit board, especially of the area near the big green Varta battery.

Also, what messages are you seeing on the blue reel glass VFD display?

BTW....VFD means "Vacuum Fluorescent Display"

What Tilt said. I'd start with the power supply. If that doesn't work, the MPU board will have to get checked out.
I Repair IGT 50X, 1270, 039, 044, and S+ MPU's. Contact me at slots@lookelectronics.com for more information.

Try re-seating the power supply behind the reels.
It might be loose from the main connector located on the right-hand side of it.

oh...at least the red LED isn't lit up....Four amber + one green LED...that's good.
You DO have a camera.
Take a high resolution picture of the MPU circuit board...reduce it to 1000MB to fit in an "Attachment".
One way to do it is to email it to yourself, you will be given an option to resize it.
Try to resize it 1000kB if possible.
Your photo above is sized at 830x840...you're allowed up to 1000pixels either horizontally or vertically.

Take the photo near that big green Varta battery....put it in "Attachments and other options" in your next Reply.
Circuit board repair experts will be able to tell you if your board needs to be sent in for repairs or not.
Make sure the power to the machine is [OFF], before sliding that MPU out.

I see damage from battery electrolyte on this board. You need to test it in another cabinet, or send it out for testing and repair. Does the red LED flash every few seconds? If it does flash, it's probably a problem with the MPU. I can't tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like someone tried to clean it with vinegar or something equally as useless. The 'double stack' IC U52's label is curled and coming off from a lot of exposure to moisture.
I can test boards and tell you if they are good, or what the chances are of repair for the cost of shipping two ways. Then you will know if it's the MPU, or not. If it can be repaired, the cost is still far less than what they are getting for these boards now. Yours is a 504B and getting harder to find. Worth looking at.
I Repair IGT 50X, 1270, 039, 044, and S+ MPU's. Contact me at slots@lookelectronics.com for more information.
