Title: Need help ID'ing machine
Post by: poolshark on June 04, 2017, 11:52:35 AM
I have been using this forum for some time now to get my blazing 7 machine up and running.. I was just offered a new machine and wanted to get some input on it as I have had no luck finding any.

The machine is an IGT Double Jackpot Haywire with a monitor, all the Haywires I have been able to find online have been reel machines.. also it does not have a bill validator and is currently set up for 1$ coins.

my main concerns are
A. what's it worth?
B. can it be changed to take quarters? (i am assuming yes)

I am working through a friend to get information on it so I will try to get any questions answered.

all input is appreciated!

Photos of the inside of the main door and of the main logic board (mpu board) would be very helpful in answering your questions.

Those photos would be great. Also, since this machine is a video monitor type of slot machine, not a reel slot, it might get more attention if posted in one of the Video Slot forums:

I actually realized that after posting  :duh: , I have already reported to moderator to move to the video slot forum

Since it has that "Indian" casino (tribal gaming) sticker on it I'm wondering if it is actually a Class II machine, not a true slot machine. The Class II machines look like a slot machine but are actually bingo type games where the player is playing against other players in the casino. The machines are connected together and play bingo games very fast, one game after the other quickly, so the presentation to the player is that of a slot machine. The ones I have seen have a small bingo card on them somewhere that indicates that it is running a bingo kind of software. Are you able to examine it in person?

If IGT produced this machine for Class II casino use that could explain why we don't see them often and don't find info about them.

I tried increasing the size of your photo to see more detail but the resolution of the photo is too low.

hmm, I had no idea there were different classes of machines

I won't be able to look it over in person until this coming weekend at the earliest, do you know where they put the bingo card sticker on usually so I can have the seller check?

Looks a lot like a PE Poker machine, just setup as a video slot machine. Be sure to find out if the monitor work or at least powers on.. I'd be interested in seeing it work..

It's been a while since I saw them in Oklahoma, I thought the bingo indicator was on the front but it was small, maybe like a 1"x2" size. And this is just a guess about this machine. Many tribal casinos have the same Class III real slot machines that they have in Las Vegas. So this may be a normal slot machine.

Class II machines are not so popular anymore. But back when Native American casinos first opened up they were the norm because the state that the casino resided in limited the type of gambling they could offer.

Take a look at this:

I looked up the legal agreement (called a "compact" between the state of Minnesota and the Lower Sioux Indian community) that is referenced on that sticker on the side of the machine. It is a Class III machine, same as machines in Las Vegas. So forget that stuff I said earlier about it maybe being Class II.

We don't get to see these machines very much, so if you end up getting it we'd all like to hear your report about it and seeing photos, thanks!

There were some early IGT video machines that primarily were video poker, but some did keno and slot games. The Player's Edge machines came along before the S and S+ models, the PE and PE+ were video based machines. As Amechanic said, that may be what this one is. Photos of the mpu board will verify.

I moved this to the PE/PE+ section.  I think it's a PE+ (ie. not a PE non-plus), but we'll be able to tell for sure when you post some pictures of the inside of the machine and the MPU board.

It's from Morton, Minnesota (Jackpot Junction casino).  We've got Class III machines here, just no reel slots, so video versions of IGT S+ spinning reel games (on the PE+ platform) were popular before modern-day video slots took center stage.

Please try to open the machine and get a picture of the main PCB (MPU) as was done in this thread:  http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=15856.0 (http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=15856.0)

Then we can identify the machine type, like PE+ with a normal or superboard.  Will also help for documenting the chip information for others to use.  As shown in this thread: http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=5175.0 (http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=5175.0)

All this information only makes it easier for the next person with questions.  THANKS!!
