Title: low battery error message IGT slot machine
Post by: varese on June 06, 2020, 12:35:41 PM
i received a 1992 multi poker IGT slot machine and upon starting up I get a low battery error message.  I understand this may require swapping out a battery that soldered onto the board.  Before i do that, I need to figure out how to get the board out...I have attached pictures. is the board encased in the silver box on the left in the pic?   any suggestions on how to take it out? I don't see any bolts or screws holding it in place.  thank you!

The board comes straight up a few inches then just pull it out.  Looks like the knob is gone in center of the right side, usually pull up on it to get board out.

thank you, very helpful.  I had the knob and didn't know what it was for. i took the board out and found the battery.  took a read with voltmeter (see pic). does it seem to you that it needs replacement?

Battery should be 3.6v

Your multimeter is not in the correct setting from what I can see.  Do you have it set to read DC Voltage?
