I have some older IGT S+ machine with DBV200 D022/023 v2.13-04-02 - Before you say update it to new version - not needed for my usage. Set to 25c using set chip - The unit cycles - the bezel lights up - the unit accepts the bills - holds them for a few seconds then ejects them - using dollar and 100 dollar bill series 1996. Units are not dirty - belts look good.

the head could be bad, or it may need calibration. ive been looking for calibration paper and have come up dry.
-
that is what a tech told me as well - may need calibration - will see if I have any luck on them.

You either need to change the ID on the BV or more than likely set the credit limits higher on the machine depending on SP chip
And yes the software version 2.13 is pretty old, 2.6x is current
If the unit holds the bill for a few seconds then rejects the unit has accepted it but the machine telling it to reject it, now if the bill goes in and out in a smooth action without holding it then the unit is the issue

JCM shows, 2.12. not 2.13 and you should check the checksum if eprom version (SS c/s is 5A53) there were SH and SU versions of 2.12 as well
For most newer SP chips Dips 7,8,9,10 should be OFF (ID 023)
For ID 022 Dip 10 should be ON
