Title: WOF sound card
Post by: cowboygames on April 18, 2014, 08:13:44 AM
I've seen a lot of sound equipment for the S2000 platform, but not one of these. Anyone know where this plugged in or how it integrated to the game?

If I am reading the date right on the PCB it say's copyright 1992. That would be S Plus era.

I hadn't thought of the video one Barry. Did they do an S+ platform WOF? The card looks like it mounts to where it would standvertically and that's what baffles me because you couldn't slide the MPU into it's frame that way

Barry  there is a chance you may be wrong on this one.  I have what I'm going to call a WOF I Game. It was on a 3802 board and the attached picture is of the software and sound board. ( looks like I'm missing a PXL 1  eprom ) I kind of think you could put it on a 3902 board and use a MM II eprom sound board

You are right about one thing, the game sucks !!!

So would it have been used in the UK or was out early version US? I've had a couple S+/bar crest machines and don't recall cards like that in either one is why I ask.

ya i think they are in the uk. its not the same as the s+. from what i have seen they are full cabinets. http://www.fruitmachineworld.com (http://www.fruitmachineworld.com) i can see the board does say barcrest and it does look similar to the software boards shown online.
