New to the forum but have owned this Bally Double Jackpot 777 for almost 18 years now(manufactured in 3/97). The bill validator(DBV-146-SG v3.11-06) stopped working years ago so just use coins. Recently, the transport now cycles up and down for like an hour every time it is turned on so I just unplugged it.I'd like to get the validator and transport working again. I have old money from 97 in like new crisp condition, so not too concerned about upgrading to accept new money but would be nice if it's simple. Should I upgrade to the DBV-200? Who has one? Is it just a simple swap with the DBV-146, just plug and play?What's wrong with the transport that it cycles non-stop? Can this be repaired or should I replace? Or, is the non-working DBV causing this?
